Transfer Funds from Your Bank Account
Reload your Green Dot card directly from your bank, credit union, or other financial institution! Many banks offer the ability to transfer funds through a process known as ACH transfer. It’s a great way to load your card.

Will I be charged a fee?
Green Dot doesn't charge any fees for this service.

Your bank may offer ACH transfers as a free service, although some may charge a fee. Please check your bank’s website or contact them for more details.

How long does it take?
Each bank has its own time frame for how long it takes to transfer your funds. Usually, it will take 1-3 business days. Check with your bank for more details.

Is there a limit on how much I can load?
You may load up to $1,000 in any 30 day period.*

If you attempt to reload your Card using multiple methods on the same day (i.e. MoneyPak and ACH), the Green Dot daily card load limit of $2,500 per day still applies. The maximum Card balance limit is $2,500. We may accept loads from bank accounts through ACH deposit in excess of these limits in our sole discretion. Your bank may also apply transfer limits. Please check with your bank or financial institution for more details

How does it work?
Log into your bank's website and follow your bank's instructions to set up electronic funds transfers, also called "ACH Transfers." Each bank will have their own setup process, but you will need the following pieces of information to load your Green Dot card.

Once you’ve set up your account, you can use it to reload your Green Dot card.

Please note that NOT ALL BANKS will offer fund transfers to outside institutions. If your bank does not offer this service, try one of our other reload services.
