Use your Walmart Visa Gift Card everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted in the fifty (50) states of the United States and the District of Columbia, excluding Puerto Rico and the other United States territories. The Card may not be used at any merchant, including Internet and mail or telephone order merchants, outside of the United States or the District of Columbia. The Card may not be accepted at merchants that require manual Card imprints.

- You may be required to register your Card at www.walmartgift.com. This protects you if your Card is lost or stolen. In addition, your Card must be registered if you wish to shop online, by mail, or by phone. Most merchants require address information. Your Card number and 3-digit security code are required to register.
- Write down your Card number, the 3-digit secuiry code, and the Customer Service number on a separate piece of paper in case your Card is lost, stolen, or destroyed.
- Your Card is automatically activated when it is purchased.

Some merchants may require that you register your Card at www.walmartgift.com prior to making an internet, mail, or phone order purchase. The information you provide during registration must be the same as the information you provide to the merchant, otherwise your transaction may be declined.

To purchase an item that costs more than the balance of your Card, you must provide a second payment method – such as cash, check or credit card – to pay for the difference. Let the cashier know in advance how much you would like to pay with each type of payment. Not all merchants will accept two forms of payment.

Certain merchants may ask us to authorize the transaction in advance and may estimate the final value. For example, a restaurant may ask us to authorize a payment 20% above your total bill to cover any tip amount. The actual amount you pay will not exceed the amount of the bill plus the tip added by you (the tip amount is at your discretion). The initial authorization will remain on your Card until the actual transaction is posted to your Card, which can take up to 10 days.

If your Card is declined, you should check your balance either at www.walmartgift.com or by calling us at 1-866-633-9096.
If you have sufficient funds remaining on your Card, please consider that the merchant may be adding a tip or some other amount to the transaction total. You may ask the merchant to authorize a specific dollar amount, but the merchant may not agree to your request. Additionally, please remember that your Card cannot be used for cash withdrawals, gambling, recurring payments, or paying at the gas pump.

If you have registered the Card and subsequently believe the Card is lost or stolen or a transaction has been made using the Card or Card information without your permission, contact Customer Service IMMEDIATELY at (866) 633-9096. We will ask for the Card number and other identifying details. We cannot assist you if you did not register the Card prior to the loss or theft of the Card or the unauthorized transaction. We reserve the right to investigate any claim you may make with respect to a lost or stolen Card or unauthorized transaction, and you agree to cooperate with such investigation. We may not be able to assist you if you do not contact us within 60 days of the unauthorized transaction. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR AMOUNTS DEBITED FROM THE LOST OR STOLEN CARD BEFORE YOU NOTIFY US.

Your gift card will remain active and can be used until the funds are spent down to a $0 balance. There is no process to close a Gift Card.
